After almost five years of unexplained infertility, we went to the fertility clinic in August 2023. We had an amazing experience with our provider and decided to try three medicated rounds before considering IUI. They performed an HSG test at the beginning of the first cycle in October, which unfortunately revealed a large polyp that could be causing my issues and would need to be removed. We proceeded with the trigger shot and planned to wait until my cycle started over, just in case.
Surgery never happened… On October 29th, I got my first two pink lines ever. Then, on November 1st, they called with my blood test results and confirmed I was indeed pregnant! November marked exactly five years of our journey!
I could write a book on how God showed Himself throughout the rest of my pregnancy, but He truly showed up during the birth of our miracle boy on July 23rd, 2024. I had no issues with blood pressure the entire time I was pregnant, but during labor, I developed PRES (similar to pre-eclampsia). I had to be transferred from my dream birth at the birth center with my midwife to a C-section at the hospital. I experienced swelling on my brain and was blind for over 24 hours. But God!!! He gave me back my sight, lowered my blood pressure, and after a week, both my little man and I were home, safe and sound.
As I write this today with my three-month-old miracle snoozing on my chest, I cherish this simple moment that satan worked hard to convince me would never be… but God!!!
