I got married in 2019, and in March 2021, we became first-time parents to our daughter. Her premature birth and minor hemorrhaging made for a difficult start, but we healed and thrived as a family of three.
In the spring of 2022, we began trying to grow our family again. After six months with no success, we were introduced to the world of secondary infertility—something we had never heard of. We tried fertility medications for eight months, but each attempt ended in disappointment.
In March 2023, we lost our second baby girl at 10 weeks, a heartbreaking blow. Fertility specialists later diagnosed me with secondary infertility, giving us less than a 1% chance of conceiving naturally.
Longing for connection, I shared our journey with a friend over coffee. A woman at a nearby table overheard and introduced herself. Her name was Brittany, and she shared about a faith-based fertility group she co-leads. That simple act of bravery led me to Moms in the Making, where I found encouragement, support, and friendships with women walking similar roads.
As we prepared for IVF, we were shocked to receive a positive pregnancy test on Mother’s Day 2024, but just three days later, we experienced another miscarriage. Still, we clung to hope.
In March 2025, we welcomed our miracle baby boy through IVF. Both of our children share the same birthday—March 12. Friends later shared that the number 12 represents divine order and God’s completeness, and we see His hand in every detail of our story.
MITM and Moms Made changed everything for me. Through infertility, loss, IVF, and postpartum, this community has been a constant. Faith and sisterhood will forever be the “God wink” I never knew I needed.
