Twins and Another Pregnancy After Hope Restored at Moms in the Making Conference

My husband and I have been married for 7 years and we knew we wanted to have a family. We tried for about a year and a half to have a baby. We went to a fertility doctor during the summer and fall of 2013. We had failed medicated cycles and 2 failed IUIs, so we moved to IVF.

We ended the IVF cycle with 6 embryos. We transferred 2 embryos in October and found out we were expecting boy and girl twins. They were born at 29 weeks and spent 2 months in the NICU. Their names are Lucas and Caroline and they are 4 years old now.

When the twins were 2.5 we had our 4 remaining embryos PGS tested. When the embryos were thawed we lost 2 and the remaining 2 came back from testing with inconclusive results. We took a break after hearing these results. When the twins turned 3, we went to a NaPro doctor. After several failed medicated cycles, we decided to stop and try to figure out what to do next.

During this time, I became a part of the Moms in the Making group. After going to the conference in 2017, it gave me hope again. Hope had been lost after many months of trying to have another baby. A few months after the conference, we transferred the last 2 embryos in December 2017. We found out only 1 embryo was successful and that we were having a boy. I joined the Dallas Moms in the Making group after finding out I was pregnant. I was so fearful that he would be a preemie as well. This group supported me and continued to remind me to choose faith over fear. He was born this past August at 39 weeks. He was a healthy baby boy! His name is Kyle, and he is 5 months old. Our family is complete! Praise God!
