12 Feb Naturally Pregnant After Finding Strength and Confidence Through Moms in the Making

After three years of Unexplained Infertility we were exhausted. We had tried different treatments, different doctors, and we had no answers.
On Oct. 1st 2017, I was serving in a church women’s retreat, and my body told me the last treatment had failed once again. I had to keep serving that weekend with the biggest smile to hide the biggest heartache; I was bringing hope to others when I myself felt hopeless. I came home after that weekend and spoke to my husband, we were both exhausted. We made the decision to surrender and decided to walk away from fertility doctors and treatments for good.
About two weeks later scrolling on Instagram I came across the Moms in the Making Conference pictures, it seemed so perfect and I was so sad I missed it. I joined the Moms in the Making group, I participated in their Christmas card exchange, I got matched with prayer partners who were also in the wait. Suddenly, this lonely road didn’t seem so lonely anymore. It was a breath of fresh air.

At the end of April we found out we were naturally and unexpectedly pregnant. God made a way where our human eyes didn’t see one. All we had to do was surrender and trust. Although we started as a high risk pregnancy, I must say it was a smooth and beautiful pregnancy and a time when we were reminded of God’s grace and love.
On December 19, 2018 we welcomed our healthy miracle, Isaac Daniel. All Honor and Glory to God! Infertility can be so isolating. Before Moms in the Making, I went through this journey alone and in silence. After finding Moms in the Making I was able to connect with people on similar paths, and it gave me the strength and confidence to start sharing my own journey.
