14 May Natural Pregnancy After Family Planning Through NAPRO

I’ve wanted to be a mom since I was a little girl. After being married two years we decided to start trying and like most couples thought it would happen right away. I was trying everything from taking my temperature every morning, to ovulation kits, to diet changes but nothing was working.
In April 2016 I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I thought surely this was the problem. But again month after month passed with no baby. In July 2016 I was a bridesmaid in a wedding where I met Melissa, another bridesmaid. Melissa happened to be a fertility coach for the NAPRO technology/creighton model of natural family planning. I learned that this type of tracking might be able to help us figure out what was wrong.
We were then able to find a doctor that specialized in NAPRO and we drove an hour each way to see her. I continued to try natural fixes… more diet changes (no coffee!), changing my beauty regimen to remove toxins etc… And then in July 2017 I got pregnant! But at just six weeks I miscarried and was completely devastated.
In December 2017 I was diagnosed through surgery with endometriosis. I had none of the normal symptoms and the only reason she thought I might was because of my NAPRO tracking. I knew then that meeting Melissa in that wedding was not coincidence but God ordained. The next cycle after my surgery I got pregnant and I gave birth to my beautiful daughter, Charity Ruth in September 2018! Her name, Charity, means love and Ruth means friendship to commemorate the many prayers and love given by friends and family for her life to come to be!
Moms in the Making was suggested to me by a friend and the testimonies every Tuesday encouraged me! The group made the journey so much more less lonely too.
