03 Sep Miracle Boys Through IVF and Natural Pregnancy

I found Moms in the Making back in late 2015 after running into our first delay with IVF. It was a literal moment when I prayed through tears and said “God, I can’t do this anymore. You are in control.” What followed was a Google search that included “faith” and “infertility.” From that search I found In Due Time and poured my heart out to a blogger I didn’t know (Caroline!) about everything we had been through.
At that point my husband and I had already tried naturally for 3 years, lost one little baby to Heaven, and had felt lead to pursue fertility treatments after being diagnosed with “unexplained infertility.” The first round of IVF did not work but we finally become pregnant through our second round and welcomed our miracle little boy into the world in April of 2017! He has been a huge blessing in our lives but we always knew we wanted two children. We knew this so much so that even during fertility treatments and before we got pregnant through IVF my husband and I talked about what our plans were for our second child. Without hesitation we both agreed that we wanted to try again naturally and once again we felt lead in our decision. There was an inner voice and peace telling me that fertility treatments wouldn’t be needed for our next baby.
Just two short months after our son turned one I took a test and found out I was pregnant again and just as God had put on my heart, this pregnancy came naturally. It was much sooner than I had anticipated but as we all have learned, it’s never about our timing but always about His! This last February we welcomed our 2nd little guy into the world and completed our family!
Moms in the Making has helped build my faith more than I can put into words. I have found strength when I didn’t think I could go on, friendships that will last a lifetime and most importantly the ability to listen and trust that I am on the path I was always meant to be on! “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5
