God Provided Funds to do Fertility Treatments

“…And the Lord remembered her.” 1 Samuel 1:19

Spoiler alert: I’m not pregnant (yet). After 5 years trying to conceive and 7 failed treatments I found myself disappointed and sad when my period came. The next day I woke up and prayed. Have you ever made those “you forgot about me” prayers? Well, that was me, I remember I told God “You forgot about us, I guess I will never be a mom”.

And I left for work. I was crying all day. At 4 pm I received a call from the doctor’s office: “Dr. says the only way is IVF”. God, we don’t have the money for that, I mean, we can start saving, but that IVF thing will not be soon. And then a friend texted me to say that she and her husband wanted to pray for us because they knew what we were going through (they went through infertility too), so we met in a Dairy Queen. When we got there I told them what the Dr. said. We sat on the table and her husband said “ok, so we believe in the power of sowing in the Kingdom, and the Kingdom is in our families too, so a few weeks back, before knowing that you will need this IVF, God put in our hearts to give you all of our savings”.

We were crying, but these tears were victory tears, not the sad tears. And then my friend said “God wants you to know that this is not about the money, He wants you to know that He remembers you, He loves you and He is for you” (And this is something I believe for you too my sister!)

Now I can just think about Psalms 30:11 “You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,” I am not pregnant yet, but I’ll be a mom soon, I believe it.

Thank you Moms in the Making — this ministry has been life changing as God freed me of all my bitterness, anger, loneliness, depression and much more. I now have so many beautiful friends who all support each other on this journey.
