We began trying to grow our family immediately after getting married in October 2020. After eight months of irregular periods and no success getting pregnant, we met with a midwife who diagnosed me with PCOS. We began doing medicated cycles, and I conceived on the very first one, but we lost our sweet baby at six weeks. After months of failed cycles, we moved on to the fertility clinic, where we did three failed rounds of IUI. I was feeling so broken and defeated, which is right when I found Moms in the Making.
We were waiting and praying, trying to decide if IVF was the next step for us, when I received a bonus at work that was almost exactly the amount we needed to cover what we were lacking to pay for IVF. I fully believe this was a financial miracle given to us by God, assuring us IVF was what He had in store for us, so in early 2023, we proceeded with IVF. Our first transfer resulted in another miscarriage, but our second transfer gave us our beautiful miracle baby girl, who joined our family in March 2024.
Around Laney’s first birthday, we began making plans to grow our family again. We had a timeline in mind for another IVF transfer, but in June 2025 we found out that God had blessed us with a miraculous conception, and we will be adding another baby girl to our family in February 2026. God has been so good and has provided so faithfully throughout this journey, even in our hardest seasons.
