My husband and I got married in August of 2021. After 6 months of trying to have a baby, we ended up at our first fertility clinic. We were so unsure of what to expect. The doctor told us we would never have a baby without medical intervention and that IVF was our only option. We were devastated.
We did our 1st egg retrieval and frozen embryo transfer in late 2022 and early 2023. We unfortunately had a miscarriage of identical twins. Our 2nd pregnancy was a blighted ovum (an empty gestational sac), a nonviable pregnancy, and yet another miscarriage. After our 3rd transfer was unsuccessful, we decided to take a long pause—over a year—from all fertility treatments.
At this point, I was so mentally exhausted, isolated, and longing for connection with other women who could relate to how I had been feeling. That’s when I found the Boca Raton, Florida Moms in the Making group that changed my life. During that pause from fertility treatments, I met with my group every 2 weeks and experienced healing that comes from bearing one another’s burdens. Our group became a close-knit friend group very quickly as we leaned into studying God’s Word and truths together and prayed for group members as they walked through different journeys.
During this time, while my husband and I paused fertility treatments, we became licensed foster parents and had the opportunity to foster a 2-year-old girl for 7 months and then a 1-year-old girl for 2 months. Our hearts were so full. These precious children gave us so much purpose as we had the opportunity to love them and pray for them daily.
On April 9, 2026, we did our 4th embryo transfer, this time with 2 embryos. At our first ultrasound, it was discovered that BOTH babies were growing! I am now in my 2nd trimester, and our miracle rainbow baby twins are due on Christmas Day! Our MITM group now has 4 miracle pregnancies!
