My husband and I went through years of infertility. After meeting with a specialist and looking at our options, we personally felt that not to go the medical route.
I cried out with everything in me. I poured my heart out to God, crying, lashing out, giving Him my anger, my rage, my disappointment, my disgust, my hope, my sorrow, you name it. It wasn’t pretty, but I gave Him all of me that night. I also promised Him that if/when He gave us a child, I would dedicate their life to Him. I would raise this child in God’s Word and raise them to be His warriors.
I officially decided against IVF, which we absolutely could not afford anyway. I was heartbroken, but I surrendered. I let it go and left it to God. A few weeks before, I had checked ovulation, and it was low/negative. According to the tests, I did not ovulate for the month of March.
So, my husband and I decided to go away for a week and just breathe. I came home in better spirits but had some symptoms during the trip. Thinking nothing of it, I decided to take a test with zero expectations, even wondering why I would do such a thing to myself. Well, the test was positive before the dye had even finished crossing.
Now, I am 19 weeks pregnant with a precious baby boy. According to three tests, I did not ovulate that month. I know this isn’t everyone’s story yet, but I’m praying that soon it will be.
