Our 1% Chance of Conceiving Turned Into a Miracle

I never imagined that infertility would be part of my story. Just three months after getting married, I found myself pregnant with our daughter, who was born in July 2019. It wasn’t until we started trying for another baby that I learned about secondary infertility. I was diagnosed with low ovarian reserve, and since I was already in my 40s, the doctors gave us less than a 1% chance of conceiving naturally. They even advised against IVF, saying the odds of success were too low. We were left with no hope.

It was during this challenging season that I was introduced to Moms in the Making. I felt so encouraged by others who were on similar journeys of learning to trust God with their stories. While there seemed to be no hope in the natural, I continued to sense God’s invitation to place my hope in Him.

Two years after being told we had less than a 1% chance of conceiving, we became pregnant naturally. While we were thrilled, the doctors also warned us there was a 60% chance of miscarriage. It was tempting to be anxious about that statistic, but on my good days, I marveled at what God had already done—making the impossible possible! God has the final word, and He gifted us with a miracle baby, born in April 2025.

Isaiah 49:23 says, “Those who hope in Me will not be disappointed.” God gave me supernatural hope for a miracle baby, and He Himself is the one hope who never disappoints.
