More Than a Fertility Support Group, Truly a Godsend

Moms in the Making was crucial to my infertility journey. I was the only one in my family who had ever struggled with conceiving, and while they were so supportive, they couldn’t fully grasp the pain I was experiencing. At the same time, I was also searching for Christian fellowship, but having a hard time finding it.

To not only have people who understood the struggles of infertility but were also walking in faith was truly a Godsend. When I became pregnant, I was so nervous to tell the group. I didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, because I knew what it felt like to be genuinely happy for someone but deeply sad for yourself and I hated the idea of being the source of that pain. But I should have known better. Everyone was beyond happy for me and became a huge support during what ended up being a very difficult pregnancy. When I delivered my daughter six weeks early, my MITM friends were some of the only people outside of family who consistently checked in, offered help, and provided meals.

I decided not to return to group the semester after having Jane, and I felt the absence deeply. Even though everyone continued to reach out, it just wasn’t the same. Then Nicole asked if I would be interested in joining a Moms Made group if she started one. I immediately said yes and told her I’d help in any way I could to make it happen.

MITM was instrumental in my infertility journey, and Moms Made has become vital in my motherhood walk. Raising my daughter alongside other Christ-loving mommas has been amazing. Getting all the miracles together is the best time, and it warms my heart that we get to have joint Moms Made and MITM events. Our sweet babes are such a testimony to God’s faithfulness, and sharing that with those still in the wait has been such a blessing.

God keeps showing up and doing it again and again and again. I’m honored to be part of this ministry and to have the opportunity to share in what God has planned for each woman touched by Moms in the Making.
