I felt strongly led by the Holy Spirit to attend the Moms in the Making event in January 2026. At the time, this prompting felt completely unreasonable, as my newborn was barely three weeks old, and I lived many states away. However, out of obedience, and out of a deep desire for breakthrough in my marriage, I chose to follow His leading and booked the flights, which were $185 each way.
Shortly afterward, I sensed the Lord prompting me to reach out to a member of my group who lives approximately 4 hours from the event location. I felt led to sponsor her ticket so that she could attend as well. From a natural perspective, this did not make sense. I did not have the financial margin, and my life felt anything but orderly. Yet, despite my uncertainty, I chose to obey.
The total cost of the flights and the sponsored ticket came to $440. The day before I left for Texas, I received an unexpected check in the mail for the exact amount of money I had invested in the trip: $440! The Lord gifted it back to me only after I decided to partner with Him and follow His guidance.
The event itself was incredibly fruitful for both of us. We each received what we needed, and we left feeling renewed, encouraged, and spiritually filled. In hindsight, it became abundantly clear why we both needed to be in the room. This experience stands as a true testimony of obedience, especially when obedience does not make sense and may even appear foolish to others. God’s plans are always greater, wiser, and better than our own.
