Before the leader retreat, I was praying and felt the Holy Spirit speak to me that “His mercies are new every morning.” At the time, I wasn’t sure exactly what the Lord meant, but I believed in my soul that there would be clarity.
When we arrived at the cabin, we received gifts, and there was a small card with this same Scripture on it. I asked my roommate if she had the same verse, and she shared that hers was different. In my spirit, I knew this was confirmation that God had picked the verse specifically for me.
The next day, God confirmed the message again. My prophetic card said, “Jesus wants you to know that today is a new day.” The verse on the card was Lamentations 3:23: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
As I was reflecting on these moments and writing this testimony, God spoke again in His perfect timing. The song “Great Is” by Elevation Worship started playing. I paused to listen to the lyrics and smiled because God is so good. I pray these lyrics resonate with you, too:
When I look back over my life
And I think how good You have been
My soul sings,
“Great is Your faithfulness”
What a beautiful reminder of His kindness. Truly, His mercies are new every morning, and “great is His faithfulness.”
