For 13 years, I’ve been trying to conceive. After surgery to remove 11 fibroids, I went into my last embryo transfer in 2025 full of hope. I truly believed this was it, the end of the waiting.
But after nine weeks, I miscarried, and I was completely broken. I wasn’t angry with God. Through the Moms in the Making Bible studies, I had learned that God is good in every circumstance. Still, knowing that didn’t make the pain hurt any less.
I grieved the best way I knew how. I spent time in worship, listened to sermons, and leaned on friends who were praying for me, yet the pain felt overwhelming. At times, it felt like I was drowning.
When I received an invitation to attend the Moms in the Making Conference, I didn’t plan to go. I was supposed to be pregnant. But with some financial help, I decided to attend.
On the first day of the conference, I felt strong and supported until we were invited to lay our burdens down at the cross. In that moment, I found myself face-to-face with both the Lord and my pain. I wanted my joy back. I wanted to move forward. And right there, the Father met me and invited me to give everything to Him.
As I knelt on the floor, I was surrounded by love, grace, and favor. By the end of the day, I could smile again, because I knew He was carrying me through.
Do I still have days when the grief comes back? Yes, and that’s okay. I am loved, and I don’t have to walk this journey alone. My sisters in Moms in the Making are praying for me, and that gives me deep peace.
