The 2025 Moms in the Making Conference was so impactful, just as it was last year! The worship and connections with the other ladies were amazing, but what the Lord did for me and in me was incredible.
Prior to conference, I had felt the Lord calling me to surrender to Him. During the first main stage session, I was reminded that God sees the seeds I’ve been sowing through my worship, prayer, and daily scripture writing. I also felt the call to surrender at the end of the session, but nothing specific was coming to mind. I didn’t know what I needed to surrender. So I asked the Lord, “What do You want me to surrender?” And He answered, “Your heart. I just want your heart.”
I didn’t even realize I was trying to protect it again. This is my thing, my coping mechanism. I build walls to protect myself from the pain of disappointment and discouragement, but that also means God can’t get in. So that’s what I wrote on my little square of paper and left it at the cross. I didn’t feel like anything changed in that moment, but I received a revelation: my heart is safe with the Lord. I can trust Him with my heart, for He is good and faithful and only has good plans for me.
Then on Saturday morning during the first worship session, I really felt like my heart was open and I was able to connect with the Lord deeper than I had in a long time. To God be the glory!
