From Prayer Partners to Moms Made Leaders

Like many of us, I found Moms in the Making through a frantic, desperate search while navigating all of the emotions that come with infertility. Through joining a group and going through the studies, I found hope for the first time in our journey! I loved the community, encouragement, and support each group brought, and I quickly found myself making new friends who truly understood what I was walking through.

I have navigated anxiety for much of my life, and as someone who did not grow up praying aloud, I found myself feeling a little anxious when it was time for prayer in group. But praying aloud was something I dreamed of doing as I prayed for miracle babies.

In December 2024, I saw an email about prayer partners, and I felt the Lord calling me to sign up. At the time, I thought, “I’m not even sure I can pray aloud. What if I pray ‘wrong’?” I said yes and signed up anyway because I felt the Lord calling me to more.

I was matched with Gloria Fuller, a sweet Mom in the Making from Michigan. We quickly discovered that we had so much in common. We both loved cheering for the Packers, checking out coffee shops, hiking, and playing with our pointer pups. We were also both walking through male factor infertility and were in the midst of pursuing IUIs.

We clicked immediately and knew that this connection was completely orchestrated by God! Here we were, living in two different states and connecting every week. We prayed together over the phone weekly and texted in between.

As we prayed, I recognized that I had found confidence, not only in my prayer language but also in my faith that what God promised, He would fulfill. She quickly became such a close friend, and when prayer partner sign-ups rolled around again, we did not sign up. We were prayer partners for life!

Gloria and I walked through IVF together, and in 2026, we both welcomed sweet miracle babies five months apart. She even drove to Wisconsin for my son’s baptism!

We now co-lead a virtual Moms Made group as we celebrate and walk through motherhood together. Thank You, Lord, for such a sweet friendship!
