My husband and I went through four years of infertility. I had PCOS, one blocked fallopian tube, suspected endometriosis, and fibroids. We tried numerous treatments, including multiple rounds of IUI and two rounds of IVF.
We did our egg retrieval on November 7, 2024, and retrieved three eggs. We completed a transfer that November, but it was unsuccessful. We completed our second round of IVF on March 17 (the day after our 8-year dating anniversary). A few weeks later, I found out I was pregnant.
However, the initial doctors told me they didn’t think it would last due to low beta numbers. My first beta was 17, and they normally look for much higher. The Lord repeatedly spoke to me, “Have faith the size of a mustard seed,” and reminded me not to worry about the number being low. He is the God of the 1 percent.
I continued to pray and was bold with the doctors, letting them know I would be approaching this from a faith-based perspective. It can be so easy to drop our faith because of how much trust we place in the medical system. As my beta levels continued to rise, even while the doctors remained cautious, my faith stayed steadfast.
Eventually, my numbers rose to 455, and my pregnancy continued. Fast forward to November 7, 2025, our beautiful daughter, Amelia, was born. One year exactly after her egg was retrieved. Against all odds of my diagnoses. Against all odds of the doctors.
She is healthy and thriving.
Remember, God is in all the details. He has the final say. Your story isn’t over yet. Let’s live with a faith-based perspective.
