A New Beginning: Miracle Baby After 8 Years

For eight years, I carried the weight of infertility—the heartbreak, the waiting, the unanswered prayers. Year after year, I longed to conceive, but the answer was still no.

At the 2024 Moms in the Making conference, God spoke a simple yet powerful phrase into my heart: “New beginnings.” Over the next few months, I saw it everywhere—in devotionals, songs, art, and even TV shows. It was as if He was constantly whispering, “Hold on. I’m doing something new.”

I was supposed to begin preparing for my eighth egg retrieval in December, but I felt a strong prompting to wait until January. I didn’t understand why, but I obeyed. Then came December 19—the anniversary of my pregnancy loss and the day my period was due. My cycles had always been like clockwork. The whole week before, I prayed two specific prayers: “God, please don’t let me see blood on December 19th,” and “Restore my joy for Christmas.”

December 19th arrived. No period. My heart pounded as I took a pregnancy test. Negative. But I still whispered, “Thank you, Lord, for no blood.” The next few days passed—still no blood. Then, on Christmas Eve morning, I took another test. This time, two pink lines appeared. Positive!

In that moment, I realized God had answered both of my prayers. He not only kept my womb from bleeding on the anniversary of my loss, but He also restored my joy for Christmas in the most miraculous way.

Weeks later, at our monthly leaders’ prayer night, I shared my testimony. That’s when the founder, Caroline, asked, “Do you know what the number eight means in the Bible?” She reminded me that I had been trying to conceive for exactly eight years. And in Scripture, the number eight represents “new beginnings.”

Only God could have written my story. And in His perfect timing, this miracle—my son—is due in August, the eighth month!

If you’re still waiting on God, hear this: He is faithful. He sees you. He hears you. And when He moves, He moves in ways more beautiful than you could ever imagine. So hold on, trust Him—your new beginning is coming!
